Wendy's Loch Ness Challenge Donate Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page.I'm taking on this 80 mile walk to raise funds and awareness for The Access Group's Charity of the Year - Young Lives vs Cancer. This long distance route really will be a challenge for me. It's a bit different to the daily dog walk or the occasional trip to the Peak District. But I'm getting the miles in already so I'm ready for 4 days of walking 20 miles + a day and conquering those Scottish hills!Young Lives vs Cancer is the UK’s leading cancer charity providing children, young people (under 25) and their families with the emotional, financial and practical support they so vitally need during their darkest days. They support over 7,000 children and young people each year and their families, and their mission is to help them find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.Today 12 children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. When a child is diagnosed, it threatens everything, for them and their family. When they should be busy being children, enjoying their rollercoaster teenage years or finding their feet at university, life becomes full of fear.Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, lengthy journeys to specialist hospitals, of overwhelming money worries, mental health stretched to breaking point, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to. From the moment the doctor says, ‘it’s cancer’, Young Lives vs Cancer step in. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Whether you can give £10 or £100, your support will fuel my motivation, help me reach my fundraising goal and of course, help me keep me moving forward. To find out more about the the wonderful charity I'm fundraising for, visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk Wendy Eyre Manage Cookie Preferences
